What Norway may ask for
Not every traveller is asked for all of these. A valid passport is checked every time; the rest is a spot check at the border, and some items belong to a visa application rather than the crossing itself.
- Passport valid 3+ months beyond planned departure from Schengen
- Travel insurance with €30,000 minimum medical coverage
- Proof of sufficient funds (NOK 500/day recommended)
- Confirmed accommodation for entire stay
- Return or onward flight booking
- Purpose of visit documentation (invitation, itinerary)
Entry requirements for Yemeni travellers
These rules apply specifically to Yemeni passport holders entering Norway as tourists. Each one links to the official source where available.
- May be required
Transit visa may be required
International travelers don’t need a visa to transit through Norway if they stay within the airport’s international departure area and their next destination is outside the Schengen Area. Visit the government site to check the permitted length of stay and other entry requirements.
- Travelers must present an onward ticket or an entry visa to a third country. Travelers may transit through Oslo Airport (OSL) between 06:00 to 23:00 only; Travelers who need to stay at the airport at night must obtain a Schengen visa, as the transit area is closed at night. Travelers must go through border control to stay outside the transit area.
