What Is the Singapore SG Arrival Card + Health Declaration?
The Singapore SG Arrival Card + Health Declaration (often shortened to SG Arrival Card or SGAC) is Singapore’s mandatory online arrival registration that replaced the old paper disembarkation/embarkation (DE) card. The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) introduced the electronic SGAC e-Service and the MyICA Mobile app — paper DE cards were discontinued from 27 March 2020. The SGAC collects your travel details and a basic health declaration to help immigration and public-health officers manage arrivals.
You submit the declaration via the official SGAC e-Service at eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard or through the MyICA Mobile app. ICA sends an acknowledgement to the email address you provide; that acknowledgement is what immigration officers expect to see on arrival. DoVisa reviews your entries, flags missing items, and can speed the submission — our fastest processing option delivers in around 30 minutes.
The SG Arrival Card + Health Declaration is a pre-arrival registration and not a visa. Whether you need a visa or how long you may stay is decided by ICA at the border and depends on your nationality and supporting documents. The declaration only registers your trip details and health status; it does not replace passport checks, visa requirements, or immigration decisions.
Key facts: submit within three (3) days before arrival, keep the acknowledgement email accessible for immigration, and confirm visa requirements on our Singapore visa information page or the official ICA portal at eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard. Ready to begin? Apply now.

Singapore Entry Requirements & Restrictions
Passport Validity
Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival. ICA may require blank pages for entry stamps and airline check-in may also check validity.
Vaccination Requirements
A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required only if you are arriving from or have transited through a country with yellow fever risk — follow ICA guidance and CDC travel pages for specifics.
Customs & Prohibited Items
Singapore prohibits many items: chewing gum (except approved medicinal gum), chewing tobacco, and imitation tobacco products including e-cigarettes and vaporizers. Telecommunication jamming devices, certain radio equipment and endangered-animal products are also banned. See Singapore Customs for full lists.
Currency & Food Limits
You must declare currency at or above SGD 20,000 on entry/exit. For personal food imports, processed food limits are typically 5 kg / 5 litres per traveller — check the Singapore Food Agency for details.
Health & Insurance Advice
There are no routine COVID quarantine requirements for visitors, but travellers should have travel or medical insurance that covers evacuation. Carry prescriptions and originals for controlled medication — customs and health authorities may inspect.
Travel Tips for Singapore Visitors
Singapore is a compact city-state with a world-class airport. Most international travellers arrive at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN); plan for efficient immigration but bring printed or offline copies of your SGAC acknowledgement in case mobile connectivity is limited.
- Currency: Singapore Dollar (SGD). Card payments are accepted widely; declare amounts ≥ SGD 20,000 at the border.
- Language: English is an official language and is used in immigration, hotels and signage — you can complete the SGAC in English.
- Time zone: Singapore Standard Time is GMT+8 year-round.
- Use the MyICA app: The MyICA Mobile app can save your profile and pre-fill subsequent SGAC submissions — handy if you travel to Singapore often.
- Food & gifts: Processed food limits (typically 5 kg / 5 L) apply — if you plan to bring packaged foods, check the SFA list first.
- Vaping ban: E-cigarettes and vaping devices are treated as imitation tobacco products and are often seized — don’t travel with them.
- Land checkpoints: If you are a resident passing through Woodlands or Tuas, you may be exempt from the SGAC when transiting via those land checkpoints.
- Save your acknowledgement: Screenshot or download the ICA acknowledgement email — immigration officers expect to see it and airport Wi‑Fi is sometimes restricted.
