Capacity increases to meet demand
Alongside the fare sale, Jetstar has expanded capacity to the Northern Territory by adding more than 15,000 seats across three primary Darwin routes for travel in the April–June 2026 window. The move is intended to support growing demand for NT travel in 2026.
- Darwin – Adelaide: capacity up 40% versus April–June 2025; frequency up to seven flights/week during the April holidays and up to five flights/week from May–June 2026.
- Darwin – Melbourne: frequency increasing to up to six flights/week in May and up to seven flights/week in June 2026.
- Darwin – Brisbane: modest 3% frequency uplift, with up to six flights/week in May and up to seven flights/week in June 2026.
Jetstar says the increased frequencies will add more than 15,000 seats across these routes, making it easier for visitors to plan travel to Darwin and nearby national parks and attractions.
Gold Coast–Darwin returns for another season
Jetstar will reintroduce the Gold Coast to Darwin service for a second consecutive year, operating three flights per week from 29 March 2026. The route will provide over 23,000 seats for the 2026 season and offers convenient access to Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield National Park.

How to book and travel windows
The sale applies to travel between July and December 2026. Seats at the promotional prices are limited and subject to availability, so travelers should visit the Jetstar website to view specific dates, terms and booking conditions.
What this means for travellers and the NT tourism industry
Lower fares and added seats should make the Northern Territory more accessible, encouraging short breaks and longer visits alike. For the tourism sector, increased capacity and the return of the Gold Coast–Darwin service can help drive visitor numbers to regional parks and cultural sites across the Top End and Red Centre.
Jetstar CEO, Stephanie Tully, said the airline is proud to support tourism in the NT and that Jetstar’s everyday low fares play an important role in encouraging more people to visit the region and discover its natural and cultural attractions.
So what? For travellers this sale represents a timely chance to secure budget-friendly access to Uluru, Kakadu, Litchfield and Darwin while capacity increases reduce the risk of sold-out dates. For the industry, the combined fare and seat boost supports visitor growth across the NT for 2026.
