Travelers arriving in Tunisia who are carrying foreign currency with a total value equal to or exceeding the equivalent of TND 20,000 (approximately USD 6,800) must declare the full amount to customs upon entry. Travelers bringing more than the equivalent of TND 5,000 (USD 1,700) and intending to take the remaining funds out of Tunisia upon departure must declare the amount on entry to avoid issues when exiting the country.
