Electronic travel authorization may be required for transit
International travelers don’t need a travel authorization to transit through Israel if they stay in the airport transit area for a maximum of 24 hours. Travelers entering Israel must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Travelers can submit the eTA application online. Once the application is approved, travelers receive their eTA confirmation electronically.
- Minors under the age of 18 cannot apply for an eTA on their own; a parent or accompanying adult must complete the application on their behalf. During the application process, the adult must indicate at the beginning of the form that they are applying on behalf of another person.
