What Israel may ask for
Not every traveller is asked for all of these. A valid passport is checked every time; the rest is a spot check at the border, and some items belong to a visa application rather than the crossing itself.
- Passport valid 6+ months beyond planned stay
- Recent passport photo 5x5cm, white background
- Confirmed hotel reservations or invitation letter
- Round-trip flight itinerary or onward travel proof
- Proof of sufficient funds ($80-100 per day)
- Travel insurance covering medical emergencies

Once the application is approved, travelers receive their eTA confirmation electronically.
- Minors under the age of 18 cannot apply for an eTA on their own; a parent or accompanying adult must complete the application on their behalf. During the application process, the adult must indicate at the beginning of the form that they are applying on behalf of another person.
