    All travelers must complete an Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) Affidavit entry form before traveling to Chile. Travelers must complete the SAG entry form online a maximum of 48 hours before arrival in Chile.

    Travelers receive a PDI Tourism Card (Tarjeta Unica Migratoria) upon entry to Chile. This document confirms tourist status and qualifies travelers for exemption from the 19% VAT on hotel accommodations. Travelers should keep the card safe throughout their stay. Most hotels request the card at check-in to apply the VAT exemption. Without the card, hotels may charge the full 19% VAT. If the card is lost, travelers can request a duplicate online. Some hotels can assist with the replacement process or verify tourist status directly in the system.
