Climbed Mount Cameroon last year - challenging but incredible! E-visa process was straightforward through DoVisa. Get a good guide from Buea.
The people of Cameroon are so friendly! Loved Limbe's beaches and the botanical gardens. Unique black sand from the volcanic soil.
If you speak French, you'll have an easier time in the east. But the English-speaking northwest is also wonderful and welcoming.
IMPORTANT: Don't forget the yellow fever vaccine! I saw someone turned away at Douala airport. Get it at least 2 weeks before travel to be safe.
Waza National Park was incredible - saw elephants, lions, and giraffes. Go in January-February for the best wildlife viewing. E-visa took 5 days.
La Lobe waterfall in Kribi flows directly into the ocean - one of the few places in the world where this happens. Spectacular! E-visa was easy.
The food in Cameroon is underrated. Try ndolé (bitter leaves with peanut paste), poulet DG, and the grilled fish in Kribi. Amazing!
