Zimbabwe Customs Declaration
Complete your Zimbabwe Customs Declaration online before arrival — submit goods and currency details and avoid delays at the port of entry.
What Is the Zimbabwe Customs Declaration?
The Zimbabwe Customs Declaration is the official customs arrival declaration travellers complete to declare goods, currency and restricted items to Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA). It covers personal baggage, dutiable imports and cash declarations required at the border and is the primary paperwork used by customs officers to assess duties, quarantine risks and permitted imports.
Historically the declaration was completed on paper at the port of entry; ZIMRA publishes the official Form 47 and related guidance and many arrivals now pre-complete or print the declaration to speed clearance. You can complete the declaration via ZIMRA’s forms page (ZIMRA Form 47) or use DoVisa for guided completion and document checks. After submission you receive a confirmation or completed PDF that you can present to customs and immigration at the port of entry.
The declaration is separate from any immigration visa or e‑Visa — it documents goods and currency only and does not grant permission to enter the country. If you are arriving with high‑value items, commercial goods, or more than the permitted cash threshold you must declare these on the declaration to avoid fines, seizure, or delays. For entry rules and visas see Zimbabwe visa information and the Department of Immigration site (zimimmigration.gov.zw).
Prepare invoices, receipts and any relevant permits before travel and keep a printed copy of your completed declaration to hand at the counter. Apply for your Zimbabwe Customs Declaration now with DoVisa for guided completion and downloadable confirmation.
