    International travelers don’t need a visa to transit through Qatar if they stay within the airport transit area. Travelers who leave the airport for more than 5 hours must apply for a transit visa on arrival to Qatar.

    Mandatory travel health insurance

    Travelers are required to have health insurance when traveling to Qatar. The mandatory visitor health insurance premium is QAR 50 per month. The insurance must cover emergency and accident healthcare services for at least QAR 150,000 and be valid for the duration of the stay. The insurance must be purchased from insurance providers authorized or approved by the Qatari government.
