Recommended vaccinations for Brazil
Travelers should consider: -Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccines; -Typhoid vaccine for visits to smaller cities or rural areas; -Routine vaccines including Measles; -Yellow Fever for travelers aged 9 months or over if going to the states of Acre, Amapa, Amazonas, Distrito Federal (including the capital Brasilia), Espirito Santo, Goias, Maranhao, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Para, Parana, Piaui, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondonia, Roraima, Santa Catarina, Sao Paulo, Tocantins, as well as to designated areas of Bahia State. Yellow Fever Vaccination is also recommended for travelers visiting Iguazu Falls. Yellow Fever vaccination is not recommended for travelers whose itineraries are limited to areas not listed above, including the cities of Fortaleza and Recife.
