Summary: Porter Airlines nonstop flights from Ottawa to Miami and Phoenix begin in 2026, with each route operating three times weekly; Miami service launched January 24 and Phoenix service starts February 7, 2026.

Porter Airlines has introduced two new nonstop flights from Ottawa International Airport (YOW) to Miami International Airport (MIA) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), expanding winter travel options for Canadians and strengthening cross-border links between Ottawa and major U.S. hubs.

Miami service: a new Florida gateway

Porter began flying nonstop between Ottawa and Miami on January 24, operating three times a week. The schedule departs Ottawa at 10:10 a.m., arriving in Miami at 1:55 p.m. local time; the return flight leaves Miami at 2:55 p.m. and lands in Ottawa at 6:35 p.m.

The MIA link adds to Ottawa’s growing roster of direct Florida connections, joining Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa and making it easier for travellers to reach beaches, cultural attractions and year-round sunshine in the Sunshine State.

Phoenix route opens on February 7, 2026

The Ottawa–Phoenix service is scheduled to begin on February 7, 2026, also operating three times weekly. Porter says the new PHX link will broaden access to the U.S. West and provide onward connections through codeshare partner American Airlines.

From Phoenix, passengers can connect to 36 additional destinations in the Western United States, including Tucson, Honolulu, Kahului and San Diego, opening more options for leisure and business travel across the region.

Supporting winter travel and Ottawa’s tourism sector

Porter’s expansion aims to give residents of Ottawa–Gatineau more options to travel during the colder months while boosting inbound visitor flows. As Porter’s vice president of network planning and reporting, Andrew Pierce, highlighted, the ongoing addition of nonstop routes from YOW reflects the airline’s commitment to Ottawa-Gatineau and its desire to offer Canadians more ways to travel, especially during the colder months.

  • Winter season 2026: Porter operates more nonstop flights from YOW than any other carrier, with 26 non-stop routes now available.
  • Onboard service: Complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, Canadian premium snacks, and free, fast Wi‑Fi for all passengers.
  • PorterReserve Fare: Includes fresh, healthy meals, flexibility to change flights without a fee, dedicated check-in, extra legroom, and two checked bags.
  • PorterClassic Fare: Allows passengers to choose perks à la carte for a more customizable experience.

The Phoenix connection also creates a pathway to many western destinations via American Airlines partnerships, while the Miami service strengthens Ottawa–Florida ties for both leisure and business travellers.
