Summary: reclaim is launching luggage delivery Miami services at Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport with a phased rollout from late February. Initial operations will cover carry-on door-to-pre-security lobby delivery; Remote Luggage Check-in is planned for spring.
reclaim, a logistics and mobility start-up, is expanding its luggage delivery Miami operations to cover two major South Florida gateways: Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The company will begin a phased launch from late February after debuting the service in Atlanta earlier this year.
Phased rollout and airport reach
The initial phase will focus on delivering carry-on luggage from a customer’s doorstep to the pre-security airport lobby. reclaim plans to add Remote Luggage Check-in in spring, expanding the service’s scope for travellers who want a more streamlined departure experience.
- Miami International Airport: served by more than 90 airlines; welcomed over 55.3 million passengers in 2025
- Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport: hosts 25 carriers, connects to more than 135 destinations and handles approximately 35 million passengers annually
Service features and booking process
Passengers will be able to reserve the luggage delivery through reclaim’s online platform. A reclaim team collects bags at the prearranged address up to six hours before departure, verifies passenger identification and matches each item to an active boarding pass before transfer to the airport lobby.
Each piece of luggage is sealed with tamper-proof tracking tags. Customers can follow the progress of their items in real time through a mobile app, SMS or email notifications, giving travellers visibility from pickup to handoff at the pre-security area.
Akmann Van-Mary, CEO and Founder of reclaim, highlighted the company’s US expansion and local ambitions.
“After launching our luggage delivery service in Atlanta, the first ever in North America, back in January, we are ready to revolutionize baggage handling in Miami’s metropolitan area,”
Security, technology and insurance
reclaim has collaborated with SITA to build a mobile solution that integrates with airport systems. The service meets Transportation Security Administration requirements and provides basic insurance for each item; travellers can buy extra protection if desired.
- Integration with airport systems via SITA
- TSA-compliant procedures
- Basic insurance included, optional additional coverage
- Real-time tracking via app, SMS or email

Scaling, partnerships and major events
After the Atlanta debut, reclaim’s model is intended to grow by adding services, partners and locations. The company is pursuing further integrations across the United States and Canada and is exploring collaborations with hotels, airlines, credit card providers and loyalty programmes.
reclaim also anticipates its service could help manage luggage volumes for high-profile events held in the United States, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games.
What this means for travellers and the industry
For passengers, reclaim’s rollout aims to reduce pre-flight stress by shifting the burden of transporting luggage away from travellers’ shoulders and onto a tracked, insured service. For airports, airlines and hotels, the offering presents potential ancillary revenue and an opportunity to smooth passenger flows during peak periods.
So what? The arrival of door-to-lobby luggage delivery at MIA and FLL signals growing demand for end-to-end travel conveniences. Travellers can expect an alternative to juggling bags on the way to the airport, while industry players may find a new channel to improve customer experience and manage capacity during large events.
